Tamiya welcomes an updated re-issue of Item 24029 1/24 Mercedes-Benz 500 SEC (originally sold in 1982) with updated decals, instruction manual and packaging. Mercedes-Benz has long enjoyed a leading position in the automotive world.
The 500 SEC made its debut as a top luxury coupe of its day in fall 1981. This car featured an aerodynamic 2-door hardtop form with four seats, and was powered by a 5-litre V8 engine which was capable of 231hp and provided a 225km/h top speed. The 500 SEC really was the complete package, offering performance, luxury and reliability, and setting the standard for its successors in all areas of the car market for years to come.
