The SMIT ROTTERDAM and SMIT LONDON Sisterships were built by shipyard De Merwede at Hardinxveld-Giessendam (The Netherlands). The ocean-going salvage tugs have been designed especially to perform towages with very heavy objects over long distances and for salvage assistance to ships in distress
