HMS Caroline Model Boat Plan
HMS Caroline is the last remaining link the Royal Navy has with the sea battles of WW1, having fought at Jutland, the article and plan being published to coincide with the one hundred year anniversary of the beginning of the conflict. The ship was laid down in 1914 and in 1926 she became the RNVR ( Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve ) Drillship, berthed in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where she remains to this day.
The plan is of the Easy-build / stand-off format with the scale and dimensions limited by the A1 plan size. The more enthusiastic could increase the scale, and quality of finish and detail; or the scale could even be reduced to produce, say, a static, waterline model. There are no rules!BEAM: 7.4cm (2.9 inches)HEIGHT: 33.5 cm (13.25 inches)PROP 30mm dia
