The B-wing starfighter looks very unusual due to its unique construction with stationary pulpit and gyroscopically suspended main wing. However, this construction allowed a larger field of fire and a worse target acquisition by the sensors of the Gengner. In the Battle of Endor, B-wings were able to knock out two giant star destroyers without any support.
